Nothing can fully explain the rush you feel after a successful shot. All the hard work and preparation has finally paid off. Your heart is racing, pupils are dilated and all you can think of is putting your hands on that trophy. This tech tip is a reminder when you see that trophy fall take a minute and slow down. Even when you see that animal go down take some time and track it. Out west we do not have the same hunting opportunities as our brothers east of us. They certainly have more hunting opportunities and their tracking skills maybe utilized more. When you see that animal run and fall pay attention to moved rocks, broken twigs and grass, scrapes in the dirt and spore color, consistency and bubbles if any. Doing this will help you keep your skills sharp for that moment you don't see that animal fall.
